Modified on Thu, 23 Apr at 1:43 PM

Like other general ledger reports the profit and loss can be run on the cash or accruals basis. The income and expenditure is grouped into major categories of owners, variable and recoverable.

Consolidated reporting

  • If multiple properties are selected then consolidated reports are produced for them

Common P&L Formats;

Current and Previous 3 Months

  • This profit & loss shows the reporting period plus prior 3 months

Per month

  • Shows a month on month analysis for the entire financial year.

Actual vs budget

  • Shows the actual vs budget for the reporting period plus YTD and Variance.

Actual vs prior year

  • Shows the actual vs prior year for the reporting period plus YTD and Variance.

Advanced Options;

Show account codes

  • If ticked the profit and loss is run with account codes.

Show account categories

  • If ticked the profit and loss is run with major categories, otherwise it just separates income and expenditure.

  • All reports can be output to excel, PDF or on-screen.

How to check the profit and loss is correct

  • If running the profit and loss on the cash basis this it should give the the same results as the owner report run on the cash basis.
  • If running the profit and loss on the accruals basis it should give the same result as accruals owners report subject to running GL month end and accruals
